…caught trout from a river in every County in Wales, that is…!!!
https://afishermansjourneythroughwales.wordpress.com/
….to read about my adventures in Pembrokeshire and Carmarthenshire
in a country filled with wild brown trout and terrific fishing, whether in rivers, mountain streams or llyns.
On the Oughton on the outskirts of North Hitchin just off the A600 between Bedford & Hitchin there are a few large trout which can be seen from Westmill Lane bridge at Westmill’s old buildings which have been converted into housing. Doubt if you’ll be able to fly fish there because the trees overhang the stream.
Mary…I am aware you are following Feargal Sharkey and his important campaigning…thank you.
hi Tony, one of your older posts – do you know if it is still possible to fish near Batemans in East Sussex? thanks
Dear Charles
I have not fished the Dudwell since I did, all those years ago, so I do not know, but have no reason to doubt it is possible.
I suggest you contact John Deeley at the number shown on the attached to enquire –

Good luck, and let me know how you get on
