A map of the 22 Counties in ENGLAND that I have ‘netted’ by the end of this season!
This is how it has gone -
In 2010 [8]: Buckinghamshire, Greater London, Herefordshire, Lancashire, Leicestershire, Lincolnshire, Oxfordshire, and West Sussex.
In 2009 [5]: Berkshire, Derbyshire, Dorset, Hertfordshire, Staffordshire.
2008 and prior [9]: Cumbria (Brathay); Devon (Lyn, Dart(s), Teign, Torridge); Gloucestershire (Coln); Hampshire (Test, Itchen, Anton); Kent (Great Stour, Teise); North Yorkshire (Wharfe); Somerset (Barle, Exe); Surrey (Eden); Wiltshire (Wylye, Avon, Nadder)
Nearly all are posted, as is the Isle of Wight where I will have to try harder!
My ‘targets’ for 2011 are….the three counties of the North East, the Yorkshire Ridings, the Anglia counties, also Shropshire and East Sussex. Wish me luck!
Scottish and Welsh rivers will come later, but I have a few counties already in my creel.
SCOTLAND : Aberdeenshire (Don); Inverness-shire (Spey); Lanarkshire (Clyde); Perthshire (Earn & Tay); Sutherland (Dionnard) and West Lothian (Almond)
WALES : Monmouthshire (Monnow); Powys (Irfon, Usk, Wye)
